Wurepekura is a farming community in the Gonja land in the Savannah Region of Ghana. It has over 300 adults and about 80 children, with Muslims forming the majority of the population. The people speak the Dagbani language. One unique feature of the village is the fertility of its land. The rich soil makes farming productive because whatever they plant grows well and yields fruit. This has encouraged them to remain and live there for many years.
They live together as one family, showing respect and unity among themselves.
It was great news that they accepted our request to plant the mission pole in their community to broadcast the Gospel.
