KUKUNDE

KUKUNDE is a small farming community in the Gonja land of the Savannah Region of Ghana.

It is a quiet place with about 80 people.

The people speak the Gonja language and live simple lives, mostly as farmers.

About 95% of the people in KUKUNDE are Muslims. Islam is their main religion. They have a small mosque just beside the road where they go to pray every day. The mosque is very important to them. It is where they gather, especially during special times like Ramadan.

We visited KUKUNDE during the Ramadan fasting period. The people were fasting, praying, and spending time in devotion. Even though it was a sacred time for them, they welcomed us warmly. They listened carefully as we spoke to them. They were kind, respectful, and showed great interest in what we shared.

To our joy, they welcomed the idea of bringing the Gospel pole to their village. Their openness touched our hearts.
