Number 5 Village

Village Number Five, located in the Central Gonja District of the Savana Region, is a vibrant and thriving community known for its fishing and farming activities. The village is home to a diverse group of people, predominantly Ewes and Dagombas, along with a few Fulani families. While fishing and farming remain the main occupations of the indigenous people, the Fulani families play a significant role in the community by rearing cattle on behalf of the locals.

One remarkable and unique feature of Village Number Five is its strong adaptation of the Gonja culture. Although many of the settlers come from different ethnic backgrounds, they have embraced the Gonja tradition of showing respect by kneeling halfway when greeting others. This beautiful cultural practice reflects humility, unity, and mutual respect among the people, strengthening peaceful coexistence within the community.

The villagers warmly and joyfully welcomed the idea of installing the Mission Pole in their community. With great excitement and gratitude, they expressed that God had answered their prayers. Their response demonstrated not only their spiritual hunger but also their readiness to deepen their faith and grow together as a community
