WENJEK Ghana

Wenjek is a small village near Saboba in the Northern Region of Ghana, close to the northeastern border with Togo. Saboba is the capital of the Saboba District, and Wenjek is not far from Saboba town.

The village has about 150 people. Farming is their main source of living. The people speak the Kokomba language and live closely as one community.

Most people in Wenjek do not attend church. There are only a few Christians. Many of the people are Muslims, though only a few are Fulani. The Fulani take care of cattle for the indigenous families. Many of the larger shops in the village are owned by Muslims. Christianity in the village is gradually decreasing because of strong Islamic teaching.

Wenjek is a small village, but it is ready for transformation. With the word of God, lives can change, families can be strengthened, and the village can be won for Christ.
