Bandiyili is a small village located near Bimbila in the Northern Region of Ghana, about a 30-minute drive from the main Bimbila township. The community is predominantly Muslim, and the people are mainly farmers who cultivate crops such as yam and cassava.
When we arrived in the village, the people of Bandiyili warmly welcomed us. During our visit, we introduced them to the Mission Pole and carefully explained its purpose and how it works. We told them that the pole would allow them to listen to the Scriptures in their own mother tongue, Dagbani.
The community members listened with great interest as we shared this information. Even though they are mostly Muslims, they showed genuine curiosity and appreciation for the opportunity to hear the Scriptures in their local language. They expressed their willingness to support the project and assured us that the young men in the village would help in any way possible to ensure that this special pole is successfully installed in their community.
Their openness, hospitality, and readiness to work together were encouraging. It was clear that the people of Bandiyili value initiatives that bring knowledge and benefit to their community, and they welcomed the idea of having the Mission Pole as a resource for learning and listening.
